National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) has launched a fully English-taught MOOC titled “Versatile Processing and Value-Adding of Agricultural Products”, now open for free enrollment. Details are as follows:

We are pleased to share that NCHU has opened registration for its English-taught MOOC “Versatile Processing and Value-Adding of Agricultural Products.” All faculty and staff are warmly invited to participate.

Course Information:

  1. This course introduces diverse processing and value-adding techniques for agricultural products, enhancing learners’ understanding of the “farm-to-table” concept.
    It is divided into six sub-modules:

    • From Farm to Table

    • Advanced Processing and Value-Adding of Agricultural Products

    • The World of Persimmons: Sweet vs. Astringent Varieties

    • The Elegance of Transformation: Climacteric Fruits

    • Condensed Flavors: Jam

    • Flavor Crafted by Time: Dried Fruits and Vegetables

  2. The course is free of charge and qualifies for Environmental Education Hours.
